FCMH to host ‘Diabetes Extravaganza’

Stay one step ahead of diabetes and attend Fayette County Memorial Hospital’s (FCMH) annual Diabetes Extravaganza on Monday, Sept. 21 from 6:30 – 8 p.m. in the Medical Arts Building 2 conference room.

This event is free and open to the public. Debra Robertson, certified wound care nurse, will present about diabetic ulcer and wound care. Mary Dye, certified diabetes educator, will be on hand to answer questions.

There will also be vendors from local organizations including pharmacies, assisted living, skilled nursing, and dentistry. Other events offered will include shoe fittings and free health screenings. There will be diabetes awareness information and healthy snacks provided. No registration is required. For more information, call 740-333-5186.

Fayette County Memorial Hospital is a critical access hospital (25 bed hospital) with over 30 healthcare providers, complete with a full spectrum of healthcare services.
