

The Fayette County OSU Alumni Club hosted a successful send-off party for incoming freshmen on Tuesday, Aug. 11 at the Fayette County Extension office.
Seven new Buckeyes and their families joined the Alumni Club for a delicious BBQ dinner and multiple insights into the Buckeye experience and tradition. Buckeyeman, Larry Lokai, presented all first year attendees with their official buckeye necklace and all students shared their plans for majors and careers.
Current Ohio State student, Kaleb Eckles, discussed community service opportunities and the importance of being involved in campus activities. Recent Ohio State graduate, Sarah Peterson, talked to students about her experience in study abroad programs and the benefits of summer internships.
Guest speakers, Wendy and Barry Bonham, shared information about sending kids to college and what parents need to know.
