According to reports, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office responded to the following calls:

AUG. 16

DISORDERLY CONDUCT BY INTOXICATION: While investigating a disabled vehicle complaint on Danville Road, Lowell N. Rudd of Washington C.H.was located riding a bicycle on the roadway and under the influence. Rudd was arrested for disorderly conduct by intoxication.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Deputies responded to a complaint of a male laying in the roadway on Biddle Blvd. in the Village of Bloomingburg. Upon deputies arrival the male was observed beating his head on the pavement then attempted to flee. The male was transported to Fayette Memorial Hospital.

CRIMINAL TRESPASSING: An employee at Lucky You in Jeffersonville reported that a known male was inside the business that was asked to leave and refused to do so. Deputies escorted the male from the business.

BREAKING AND ENTERING/THEFT: Christina Rayburn of Dayton reported she returned to her previous residence and discovered that someone had entered and removed several items from inside.

AUG. 15

TRAFFIC CRASH: Rodger D. Taylor of Jeffersonville was stopped for a red light at the intersection of Main and High Streets in Jeffersonville. Taylor then began to proceed through the intersection after a green light to make a left turn onto High when Taylor struck a pedestrian within the crosswalk. The pedestrian who was identified as Leanne Roper of Washington CH. sustained minor injuries from the crash. Roper refused medical treatment on the scene.

TRAFFIC CRASH: Brian Jones of Saint Paul, North Carolina reported a hit / skip crash on the lot of the T/A. The report states an unknown driver operating a Faiz Freight Relocaters truck was attempting to make a left hand turn on the truck lot when the vehicle struck a parked Schneider’s truck. The vehicles suffered minor damages. No injuries were reported.

THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE: Bradley Everhart of Greenfield reported someone entered onto his property overnight and removed his vehicle.

AUG. 14

ENDANGERING CHILDREN: Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a Jamison Road address to investigate a complaint involving the welfare of a female juvenile.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: While investigating a complaint at the True North Shell in Jeffersonville, Terraus D. Harris of Monroe, La. was arrested for disorderly conduct after being warned by deputies about his behavior.

DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Sheriff’s deputies responded to West High Street, Jeffersonville on a domestic incident. Upon arrival all parties involved were identified and it was determined that no assault or threats of violence had occurred.

DRUG PARAPHERNALIA: Sheriff’s deputies responded to the ball fields in Jeffersonville on reports of drug paraphernalia. Deputies located the items. They were collected and placed in property.

DOG BITE: Loretta Daugherty of Washington C.H. reported while her juvenile daughter was riding her bicycle she was bit by a dog. Contact was made with the dog’s owner and the dog warden was advised of the complaint.

THEFT: Sheryl Spears of Washington C.H. reports someone used her bank card information to obtain items.

AUG. 12

CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Grace Meadows Apartments reported a known juvenile caused damage to a gate located on the property.

BURGLARY/THEFT: Kim Ziglar of Jeffersonville reported someone entered her residence and removed property from inside.

VEHICLE DAMAGE: Melody Shepherd of Portsmouth was traveling on US 35 and struck a piece of wood in the roadway causing damage to her vehicle.

TRAFFIC CRASH: Benjamin Teasley of Ashville was traveling south on I-71 and lost control of his vehicle. Teasley traveled off the right side of the roadway striking a guardrail overturning. Teasley was transported to a medical facility for treatment of injuries. The vehicle sustained heavy damage and was towed from the scene.

THEFT: Jillian Hendricks of Washington C.H. reported someone removed jewelry from her residence.

AUG. 11

FOUND PROPERTY: A concerned parent reported several items of drug paraphernalia were located at a daughter’s residence. The items were turned in for proper disposal.

CRIMINAL DAMAGING / CRIMINAL TRESPASS / THEFT: Brian Woolever, Washington C.H. reported a property he owns in the Village of Bloomingburg had been damaged. Additionally, a car stored in the garage was also damaged. During the investigation it was learned that items were stolen from the residence of Daniel Lehr, Bloomingburg and were used to damage the vehicle. Two juvenile males were identified as the suspects and were charged in Juvenile Court.

BURGLARY / THEFT: Courtney Cline, Good Hope reported over the past couple of days someone entered her residence and removed property.

CASUALTY: Deputies and EMS responded to a Jeffersonville residence. Upon arrival CPR was initiated by the sheriff’s deputy and the victim was subsequently transported by EMS to Fayette County Memorial Hospital for treatment.

BREAKING & ENTERING / THEFT: Richard Schreckengaust, Washington C.H. reported he was working on a residence on Grace Street when he departed to pick up supplies. When he returned he found tools to be missing.

BREAKING & ENTERING / THEFT / CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Kenneth Perotti, Bloomingburg reported he observed a subject break the front door glass to Pettit’s Market, Bloomingburg and enter the store. Upon reviewing the video the subject was observed removing items from the business and departing.

TRAFFIC CRASH: John Soye Jr. of Charlotte, North Carolina was traveling northbound on I-71 near mile post # 65 when Soye struck debris in the roadway causing minor damage to his motor vehicle. No injuries were reported.

FOUND PROPERTY: A child’s bicycle was turned into the sheriff’s office.

AUG. 10

ASSAULT: Shawnda Studebaker, an employee at the Ranch of Opportunity, reported she was assaulted by a 14-year-old female client. Ms. Studebaker was treated for her injuries at the Fayette Co. Memorial Hospital.

UNRULY/RUNAWAY: Belinda Lorenzo, an employee of the Ranch of Opportunity, reported that a 16 year of age female client was missing from the facility. Several hours later employees of the Ranch called back and stated the female had been located in the facility.

ASSAULT: Tyler J. Stone of Mount Sterling reported he was assaulted by a known person. Stone was referred to the City Solicitor.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS/CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Danielle Butcher of Jeffersonville reported sometime within the past 72 hours someone trespassed on her residential property, and damaged her motor vehicle.

IDENTITY THEFT: Maria Hall of Washington CH, Ohio reported someone used her identification to open a bank account.

TRAFFIC CRASH: Sierra D. Glaze of Columbus was traveling southbound on I-71 near the 65 mile post when Glaze failed to maintain assured clear distance ahead, striking a southbound vehicle in the rear, operated by Valeria Dreher of Louisville, Ky. The vehicles suffered moderate damages. No injuries were reported. Glaze was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.
