The Washington C.H. 12-year-old all-star baseball team began the 2015 District Eight tournament with an 11-4 win over Fairborn Wednesday evening, July 8.

The game was scheduled to be a home game for the all-stars, but the site was changed to Fairborn due to field conditions.

The game started at 9:45 p.m. and ended nearly two hours later.

Washington C.H. collected 18 hits, with six players getting at least two hits.

Dylan Bernard went 3 for 3 with a double and two rbi.

Ty Rose went 3 for 4 and scored a run.

Ethan Steele had two hits and drove in two runs; Luke Zimmerman was 2 for 3 with a double and three rbi; Bo Little went 2 for 3 and scored twice and Hunter McBee hit a double and a triple, scored two runs and drove in two.

Dylan Bernard started on the mound and pitched two innings. He allowed four runs (all earned) on two hits. He walked seven and struck out four.

Sterling Smith pitched the third inning, with no runs, no hits, two walks and one strikeout.

Hunter Rudd pitched the final three innings for the victory.

He allowed two hits, no runs, walked one batter and struck out three.

In the second game of Pool B play, Washington defeated Eaton on Thursday, 16-0. That game was played at Eaton.

Zane Joseph was the starting and winning pitcher for Washington C.H., pitching a no-hitter for 3.2 innings with 10 strikeouts and just one walk.

Bo Little faced one batter, recording the final out of the fourth inning.

Washington had 15 hits, with six players getting two hits apiece.

Brice Cartwright had two hits, including a triple and drove in three runs.

Luke Zimmerman had two hits and scored three runs.

Dylan Bernard was 2 for 2 with a double and two rbi.

Hunter Rudd drove in three runs; Ty Rose went 2 for 3 with two runs scored and Joseph went 2 for 3 with two runs scored.

The Washington C.H. 12-year-old all-stars are in action tonight in the District Eight semifinals at 8 p.m. at Moraine-West Carrollton.

The first semifinal starts at 6 p.m.

The championship game is Sunday at 6 p.m. back at Moraine-West Carrollton.

Directions to ballpark: Travel west on US 35 to I-75 South; take the West Carrollton exit and turn right off that ramp. This is East Central Avenue. Travel three lights down and Weidner Park is on the left, 150 E. Central Ave.
