Relay for Life draws large crowd

The Fayette County Relay for Life was held this past Friday and Saturday at the Washington High School track and field with plenty for the community to do. One team was offering spray paint art.

“Hope” was one of the many reasons residents took the time to help walk for the Relay for Life. This picture is of memorial luminaries that were purchased to honor or remember someone fighting for cancer.

Team J.E.D.’s Angels sell crafts to raise money for cancer research.

The cancer survivors walked the first lap of the Relay for Life as a victory lap. The crowd surrounded the track and clapped for these brave individuals.

Mystery Inc., was present during the relay offering photos for donations to cancer research.

A magician took time during the Relay for Life to entertain the crowd with his amazing magical tricks.
