HILLSBORO — The Miami Trace Lady Panthers volleyball team continued to hold on to the second spot in the final SCOL standings after posting a 3-1 win at Hillsboro on their Senior Night Thursday.

Scores of the sets were: 25-16, 25-8, 21-25 and 26-24.

Miami Trace is now 10-2 in the league.

Chillicothe is undefeated in league play and the Lady Blue Lions of Washington are third with three league losses.

Miami Trace started off very strong in the first two sets, head coach Doug Mace said.

The momentum shifted over to the home team for the third set.

“Hillsboro came out in the third and played very well,” Mace said. “The fourth set could have gone either way. We were able to come up with a couple of points at the end when we needed them.”

Samantha Ritenour led Miami Trace with eight kills.

Kennedy Campbell had five kills.

Ashley Campbell led the team with 15 service points and four ace serves.

Miami Trace, now 13-6 overall, hosts Clinton-Massie for the final time, at least as SCOL rivals, Tuesday with the j-v match at 5 p.m.

The Lady Panthers finish the regular season with a match at Washington High School Thursday at 5 p.m.
