The Miami Trace girls golf team hosted Hillsboro Wednesday, Sept. 21 at the Club at Quail Run.

It was the final match of the season for Miami Trace on their home course and the final high school match for the Miami Trace seniors.

Hillsboro won the match, 190 to 245.

Miami Trace finishes the SCOL season, the final ever for that august old league, with a record of 3-7.

Hillsboro’s Kristin Jamieson was medalist (low score) with a 38.

Morgan Eggleton led Miami Trace with a 59.

Also for Miami Trace, Tori Riley shot a 60, Makayla Eggleton, 62; Lindsey Worley, 64; Meri Grace Carson, 70 and Macey Stires, 74.

Other scores for Hillsboro: Emily Loudin, 45; Hannah Rumpke, 50; Abby Myers, 57; Larkin Perry, 59 and Abby Harrison, 60.

The five Miami Trace seniors were feted after the match. They are: Marissa Sheets, Tori Riley, Makayla Eggleton, Macey Stires and Lindsey Worley.

The South Central Ohio League girls golf tournament will be held Saturday, beginning at 8 a.m. at Buckeye Hills near Greenfield.
