Miami Trace girls golf falls to Massie

The Miami Trace girls golf team played an SCOL match at Majestic Springs against Clinton-Massie Monday, Sept. 19.

Clinton-Massie won the match, 175 to 223.

Miami Trace is now 3-6 in the SCOL.

Gabby Woods of Clinton-Massie was medalist with a score of 38.

For the Lady Panthers, Tori Riley was low with a 52.

Lindsey Worley shot a 53 and Morgan Eggleton had a score of 57.

Macey Stires recorded a 58, Makayla Eggleton shot a 61 and Shelbie Rowan had a 61.

Also for Clinton-Massie: Angela Miller, 43; Kelsey Smith, 47; Taylor Kropp, 47; Jezreel Forand, 51 and Emma Filipkowski, 56.

“I am proud of the effort that the girls gave tonight,” Miami Trace coach Chris Miller said. “We have played significantly better over the last two weeks. Tonight’s round was our lowest since I became coach last year. It was nice to see the ladies play well and have fun.

“I would like to thank Coach McGraw and the Miller family for honoring our seniors and us after the match,” Miller said.

Miami Trace is at home Wednesday to host Hillsboro at 4:30 p.m.
