Miami Trace volleyball goes 2-1 at Circleville tourney

CIRCLEVILLE — The Miami Trace Lady Panthers volleyball team competed in the Circleville tournament Saturday, Sept. 17.

Miami Trace went 2-1 on the day.

Miami Trace played Chillicothe, an SCOL team which they had just played two days before.

Miami Trace lost this match, 25-16, 18-25 and 17-25.

The Lady Panthers defeated Harvest Prep, 25-10 and 25-12.

Miami Trace dropped the first set of the match to Waverly, 17-25, but rallied to win the match, 25-21 and 25-19.

For Miami Trace, Dyamin Baker led the team in digs with 63 for the day.

Samantha Ritenour had 27 kills in the tournament.

Clare Sollars led Miami Trace in serving with 16 points and six ace serves.

Miami Trace is now 9-6 overall, 5-2 in the SCOL.

Miami Trace is at East Clinton Tuesday and will host Wilmington Thursday at 5 p.m.

These matches will be the final SCOL matches between Miami Trace and East Clinton and Wilmington in volleyball as the league is disbanding after this school year.
