WCH LL returns to action

The Washington C.H. Little League regular season is about to wrap up this week.

Action resumed in the league Monday evening after having not played for six days, thanks in part to the rain last week.

On the Minor Division diamond Monday, Elks defeated Merchant’s Bank, 17-2 and Legal Beagles beat Quali-Tee, 17-9.

On the Major Division diamond, it was Downtown Photo over Eagles, 21-2 in four innings and Super Sport edging Corvettes, 5-4.

For Downtown Photo, Cal Wightman was the winning pitcher.

Also for Downtown Photo, Gabe Campagna hit a pair of triples.

Drew Ferguson, Austin Boedecker, Collin Southworth and Michael Yoho were the pitchers for Eagles.

Brayden May was the winning pitcher for Super Sport in the game against Corvettes.

Braden Osborne hit a triple for Super Sport.

For Corvettes, Charles Sever hit a triple.

Evan Weaver pitched for Corvettes.

Zachary Warnock also pitched for Super Sport.

On Tuesday, June 21, Corvettes defeated Eagles, 25-10 and McDonald’s beat Mopars 16-6 in Major Division play.

Over on the Minor Division field, Quali-Tee beat the Elks, 12-7 and Merchant’s Bank topped Jr. Firemen, 9-6.

Noah Hicks was the winning pitcher for Corvettes.

Daniel Leaverton and Charles Sever also pitched for Corvettes.

Pitchers for Eagles were Gannon Phillips, Michael Yoho and Collin Southworth.

Offensively for Corvettes, John Wall hit a triple; Braydon Kettles hit an inside-the-park home run and two triples and Evan Weaver hit an inside-the-park home run.

Offensively for Eagles, Wesley May hit a double and Drew Ferguson hit a home run.

Calum Brown was the winning pitcher for McDonald’s in the game against Mopars.

Luke Crabtree also pitched for McDonald’s.

Offensively for Mopars, Nathan Upthegrove hit a double.

At the plate for McDonald’s, Rishaun Burns hit two triples and Jonah Waters hit one triple.

Will Dawes, Ryan Crowe and Raleigh Haithcock were the pitchers for Mopars.
