SCOL honors spring sports athletes

The top track athletes in the South Central Ohio League were honored at the spring banquet May 23, 2016. In the front row are the First Team, All-SCOL members from the league champion Chillicothe Cavaliers. In the row behind them are First Team, All-SCOL members from Washington High School (l-r); Maria Pickerill, Jaelyn Mason, Megan Mullins, Haley Petitt, Alexis Gray and Maddy Garrison. Also from Washington, the first two young ladies pictured in the third row, at right, (l-r); Holly Inskeep and Alexa Harris. The above student-athletes were earned First Team, All-SCOL honors in track and field for 2016. First teamers from the SCOL champion Hillsboro Indians occupy the front row. Miami Trace’s Tyrae Pettiford (400-meters) was unable to attend the event. Washington High School had two Second Team, All-SCOL recipients: Trevor Hicks (shot put) and Brandon Underwood (800 meters) and Drake Litteral of Miami Trace was Second Team, All-SCOL in the 200-meter dash and Blake Pittser was Second Team, All-SCOL in the 3200-meter run. The Panthers were also second in the 4 x 200-meter relay, which included Tyrae Pettiford, Drake Litteral, Elijah Sauceda and Noah Wiseman. Note: Second Team, All-SCOL winners are not honored at the banquet.
