On Saturday, May 14, parents, family, friends and relatives came together to support the children and teens who are students at Tric’s Gymnastic Academy.
For a number of weeks every class, Gymnastics, Cheer and Parkour, along with the competitive Cheer and Gymnastics team, have been working hard preparing for their very own Olympics.
Throughout the two sessions, the audience was able to watch the gymnasts, cheerleaders and parkour students perform routines that were set to patriotic music.
Over 300 students, from ages 2 to adult, who train within the 40 classes at the academy, have been working extremely hard practicing skills and routines for this year’s recital debut. The athletes had the opportunity to demonstrate all the skills they have learned including; sportsmanship, leadership, team building, and fabulous tumbling.
A few highlights of the evening were the appearance of Trixie, the gym mascot, the coaches, as they took over the floor for their routine, Sidney Fryer’s mom who won the “Daddy Push-up contest” (Dad is deployed this year so mom filled in), the showcase of our New Parkour class, (an urban ninja course taught in a safe environment), and, the gym’s cheerleaders and gymnasts who were featured in group, duos, and individual routines.
The competitive teams then announced the newest members (children who advanced up levels at the gym and now qualify to be members of the teams).
Tric’s Gymnastic Academy and Twister All-Star cheerleading will continue to offer its classes throughout the summer months. The academy will be hosting summer day camps, and cheer clinics. If you are interested in enrolling your child feel free to call the gym (740)335-8742 or (740)572-1982.
