Miami Trace gymnastics holds banquet

The Miami Trace High School varsity gymnastics team recently held their end of season banquet at the school following the all sports recognition ceremony.

Special awards including scholar athlete and varsity letters were awarded to the members of the team.

Freshmen McKinley Kelley and Averey Cockerill earned their first year varsity letter.

Kandice Mathews and Milana Macioce received second year varsity awards.

Grace Rolfe accepted her third year award while Devan Thomas was presented a fourth year varsity letter bar and plaque.

Washington High School freshman, Abby Rose received her first year varsity award along with recognition for being a scholar athlete.

Greeneview High School junior, Lizzy Valentine, was awarded a second year varsity plaque. Valentine was recognized as a scholar athlete for her school.

A special award was presented to Devan Thomas who earned the best percentage on all four disciplines: vault, 7.95; uneven bars, 7.93; balance beam, 8.38 and floor exercise, 8.52.
