CHILLICOTHE — In girls basketball action Wednesday, the Chillicothe Lady Cavaliers defeated the McClain Lady Tigers.
That result means that Miami Trace is the outright South Central Ohio League champion for the 2015-16 season.
Miami Trace is currently 19-2 overall, ranked No. 11 in the State in Division II. The Lady Panthers are 12-1 overall with a game remaining at McClain High School Saturday. The j-v game starts at 5:30 p.m.
The Lady Tigers are now 10-3 in the SCOL, 17-4 overall.
Clinton-Massie (tied for No. 9 in the State in Division II) is also 10-3 in the SCOL with a game remaining at home against Wilmington Thursday night.
The Washington Lady Blue Lions improved to 8-13 overall, 4-9 in the SCOL, with a 44-34 win at Hillsboro Wednesday.
The Lady Blue Lions are at East Clinton Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
