KINNIKINNICK — The Washington Blue Lion boys soccer team ended their 2015 season Monday evening with a 5-4 Sectional tournament loss at Zane Trace.

Washington had leads of 2-0 and 3-1, but a furious rally in the second half put the Pioneers up 5-3. Trent Brown assisted a Blaise Tayese goal with three minutes remaining to make the score 5-4, but the Lions’ comeback ran out of time.

Tayese had three goals on the night, with all three assists going to Brown. Brown also earned a penalty kick, which was converted for the Blue Lions by Seth Hanusik.

Washington bids farewell to seven seniors: Trent Brown, Cameron Eckles, Nick Funari, Branson Morgan, Branton Mitchell, Brody Morris, and Jakob Snyder.

Washington finishes the 2015 season with a record of 4-11-2.
