Clinton-Massie’s Davey Tunon had a big game Friday as the the Falcons rolled to their 48th consecutive South Central Ohio League win, 50-6, over the Washington Blue Lions at Gardner Park.

Clinton-Massie moves to 5-1 overall and 3-0 in the league.

Washington is 3-3, 2-1.

Prior to Friday night, the last time the Blue Lions scored against the Falcons was in a 69-7 loss in 2011.

Washington remains the last SCOL team to defeat Clinton-Massie and it came in Fayette Co. on Oct. 12, 2007. Since then, Massie has blitzed the league to the tune of 48 straight wins.

Tunon had 134 yards rushing and two touchdowns on 14 first half carries as the Falcons rolled to a 43-0 halftime lead.

Aaron Greer had a solid game for the Blue Lions on the ground, rushing for 72 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries.

Jake Garrison was a mountain in the middle of the offensive and defensive lines for the Falcons.

The Blue Lions, in fact, seemed to move the ball a bit early in the game with their misdirection rushing attack but were thwarted by their own penalties.

Clinton-Massie took advantage of openings in the Blue Lion special teams. The Falcons got their hands on at least two Washington punts. Tunon led the charge by knifing through holes in the Washington line and greeting Blue Lion punter Jarett Patton, who had no chance to get the punts off.

One of the blocked punts was recovered by Clinton-Massie’s Anthoney Tissandier.

Clinton-Massie had a 29-0 lead with 10:24 to play in the second quarter then had a bit of a drought.

But three touchdowns in just over two minutes sent many of those who braved the high winds and rain home.

Tunon scored with 1:49 to play in the half then with 50.8 seconds to go Hunter Fentress hooked up with a wide open Bryce Boyd from 35 yards out.

Then to start the second half, Bryce Boyd raced 86 yards with the opening kickoff to make it 50-0.

Chris Demler converted seven extra point kicks for Clinton-Massie.

The Blue Lions will host the Wilmington Hurricane next week back at Gardner Park.

Wilmington beat East Clinton Friday, 35-0.

The Falcons play next week at Hillsboro. The Indians had a close game against Chillicothe Friday, falling 14-6.
