Panther tennis defeats Hillsboro

The Miami Trace Panthers tennis team improved to 2-0 in the Frontier Athletic Conference with a 4-1 win over Hillsboro on another very cold afternoon, Monday, April 9.

At first singles, Matt Fender defeated Andrew Gurdermer, 6-0, 6-3.

At second singles, Eli Schirtzinger lost to Gabe Guililard, 3-6, 4-6.

Nate Taylor won his third singles match over Austin Pendall, 7-5, 6-1.

At first singles, Adam Ginn and Jon Allen beat Tyler Snapp and Ethan Snapp, 6-2, 6-0.

At second doubles, Paul Natzschka and Brett Lewis won by forfeit.

“Hillsboro played well, but was shorthanded with only five players,” Miami Trace head coach Greg Leach said.

Miami Trace is home against Unioto Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
