Lady Lion volleyball falls to Logan Elm

The Washington Lady Blue Lion varsity volleyball team had its season come to an end in the Sectional finals against Logan Elm Saturday, Oct. 21.

Logan Elm won the match, three sets to none.

Scores of the sets were: 25-7, 25-17 and 25-14.

Washington finishes the 2017 season with an overall record of 12-10.

Logan Elm advances to the District semifinals where they will take on Gallia Academy Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. at Southeastern High School.

Gallia Academy defeated Athens Saturday, three sets to one.

In other Division II Sectional final matches Saturday, Unioto defeated Warren, three sets to one and Sheridan beat Circleville, three sets to two.

Unioto will take on Sheridan Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Southeastern High School.

Logan Elm won a Regional championship last year, qualifying to the State Final Four. They were the only public high school of the four to reach the Final Four in Division II.

The District championship is Saturday, Oct. 28 at 4 p.m. at SEHS.
