Lady Lion tennis falls to Jackson

The Washington Lady Blue Lion tennis team hosted the team from Jackson High School for a Frontier Athletic Conference match Monday, Sept. 25.

Jackson won the match, three courts to two.

At first singles, Washington’s Megan Downing blanked Sydney Humphrey, 6-0, 6-0.

At second singles, the Lady Lions’ Jen Richards beat McKenzie Humphrey, 7-5, 6-3.

At third singles, Alyson Bragg defeated Sydnie Hall, 6-1, 6-3.

At first doubles, Josie Ball and Cillie Houser beat Bethany Wilt and Brooklyn Foose, 2-6, 7-5, 6-4.

Second doubles saw Natalie Kirby and Georgia Miller defeat Brynne Frederick and Payton Maddux, 6-2, 6-3.

Washington will play at Unioto Thursday.
