MT tennis falls to Chillicothe, 3-2

The Miami Trace Lady Panthers tennis team hosted Chillicothe for a Frontier Athletic Conference match on a hot Thursday afternoon, Sept. 21.

Chillicothe won the match, three courts to two.

At first singles, Cassie VanDyke lost to Natalie Drotleff, 0-6, 0-6.

At second singles, Anita Pursell lost to Brittany Harper, 0-6, 6-7.

At third singles Bayley Thompson defeated Hannah Kessler, 6-2, 6-4.

“Bayley (played) a good match,” Miami Trace head coach Kim Schirtzinger said.

At first doubles, Cameron Bucher and Haiven Pepper lost to Ali Gossman and Heidi Arth, 5-7, 6-7 (5-7).

At second doubles, Jackie Wisecup and Kenzie Seyfang defeated Emma Domo and Abby Pendell, 7-6 (9-7) and 6-0.

Miami Trace will host Washington Tuesday at 4 p.m.

The Sectional tournament is slated for Tuesday, Oct. 3.
