Lady Lion volleyball goes 1-2 at Unioto tournament

CHILLICOTHE — The Washington Lady Blue Lion varsity volleyball team competed in the Unioto tournament Saturday, Sept. 2.

Washington went 1-2 in the tournament, falling to Unioto, defeating Fairland and then losing (in a non-league setting) to league opponent Chillicothe.

Unioto defeated Washington, 25-10 and 25-14.

For Washington, in attacks, Hannah Haithcock was 18 of 20 with seven kills.

Faith Kobel was 11 of 12 with four kills and Delaney Greer was 5 of 7 with three kills.

Greer was 16 of 19 passing; Maddy Jenkins was 5 of 5 and Tabby Woods was 6 of 7.

Greer served 5 of 6 with one ace; Kobel was 5 of 5 serving with one ace serve.

Halli Wall was 34 of 35 setting with 14 assists.

Woods was 7 of 14 in digs and Greer was 6 of 9.

Washington dropped the first set to Fairland, but rallied to win the match, 18-25, 25-16 and 25-12.

Rayana Burns was 25 of 28 attacks with nine kills.

Delaney Greer was 20 of 24 attacks with five kills.

Hannah Haithcock was 9 of 9 passing. Greer was 10 of 11 passing and Tabby Woods was 8 of 9.

Haithcock was 17 of 18 serving with three ace serves.

Halli Wall was 12 of 13 serving with two aces.

Wall was 51 of 57 setting with 15 assists.

In digs, Greer had 15, Brittney Wilson had 15 and Wall had nine.

Against Chillicothe, Washington lost, 12-25, 26-24 and 25-21.

Rayana Burns was 14 of 15 attacks with eight kills.

Faith Kobel was 11 of 11 attacks with five kills and Brittney Wilson was 7 of 8 with five kills.

Halli Wall was 12 of 14 serving with one ace.

Mallory Hicks was 9 of 11 serving with two aces.

In setting, Wall was 41 of 43 with 18 assists.

Delaney Greer had seven digs, Wall had six, Hannah Haithcock had six and Maddy Jenkins had five.

Washington is now 3-4 overall, 1-1 in the Frontier Athletic Conference.

Washington will host Jackson for an FAC match Tuesday, Sept. 12.
