Panthers, Blue Lions beat Hillsboro

The Washington Blue Lion and Miami Trace Panther golf teams hosted Hillsboro for a Frontier Athletic Conference match Thursday at The Greens.

Washington joined the regularly schedule match between the Panthers and Indians as the Washington match against Hillsboro was previously rained out.

This was not a Washington versus Miami Trace match. They have already played once this season, head-to-head, and will meet again on Tuesday.

Thursday, Washington defeated Hillsboro, 200 to 205 to improve to 2-2 in the FAC.

Miami Trace beat Hillsboro, 191 to 205.

Miami Trace’s Cameron Carter was medalist with a 43.

Hillsboro’s Will Kiefer was medalist versus Washington with a 44.

For the Blue Lions, Ty Rose led with a 48.

Gabe Arazo shot a 49, Brice Cartwright, 51; Tyler Rood, 52; Brock Morris, 55 and Sam Shaffer, 78.

For the Panthers, Hayden Walters shot a 47; Tyler Eggleton, 49; Drew Batson, 52; Heath Cockerill, 53 and Brett Lewis, 61.
