Lady Panthers beat Lady Lions, 19-2

The Washington Lady Blue Lion softball team hosted Miami Trace on Tuesday.

It was the final-ever South Central Ohio League softball game for both teams.

Miami Trace won the game, 19-2 in five innings.

Maddie Mossbarger was the winning pitcher; in three innings she allowed four hits and two runs (both earned) with no walks and one strikeout.

Olivia Wolffe pitched two innings with one hit and four strikeouts.

Meghan Tucker pitched five innings for Washington.

Miami Trace had 15 hits and did not commit an error.

Washington had five hits and three errors.

Wolffe went 3 for 4 with two home runs, three runs scored and five RBI.

Ashley Campbell went 2 for 3. Both of her hits were home runs. She scored four runs and drove in six.

Cassidy Lovett went 2 for 4 with three RBI and three runs scored; Taylor Barrett was 2 for 3 with two runs and three RBI. One of her hits was a double; Jessica Camp went 2 for 3 with a run scored and one driven in and Tori Riley went 2 for 3 with a run scored.

Trinity Ragland went 2 for 2 for Washington with a run scored. One of her hits was a double.

Maddison Osborn had one hit and two RBI; Kalee Crowe had one hit and scored one run and Danika Marcum had one hit for the Lady Lions.

Miami Trace scored five runs in the first and four in the sixth.

Washington scored its runs in the bottom of the second.

After a scoreless third inning, the Lady Panthers scored seven in the fourth and three in the fifth.

Miami Trace will play at Leesburg Fairfield Thursday at 5 p.m.

Washington will play at Waverly Wednesday and at Vinton County Friday at 5 p.m.
