The Washington Blue Lion tennis team hosted Miami Trace on a very, very windy Monday, May 1.
The Panthers won this SCOL match, three courts to two.
At first singles, Juan Diego Navas beat Kenny Upthegrove, 6-3, 6-4.
At second singles, Seth Leach beat Jordan Behm, 6-1, 6-3.
At third singles, Grant Kuhlwein beat Ely Schritzinger, 7-5, 6-0.
Matt Fender and Thomas Bondi defeated Grant Mustain and Madalyn Wayne, 6-1, 6-1 at first doubles.
At second doubles, Jack Luebbe and Max Schroeder beat Johnathan Allen and Adam Ginn, 5-7, 6-4, 10-6.
In a j-v doubles match, Miami Trace’s Todd Peterson and Nathan Taylor beat Tony Kuenzli and Sam Schroeder, 8-0.
Washington, now 6-7 overall, hosts Circleville Tuesday for Senior Day.
The Panthers will host Chillicothe Wednesday.
