The Lady Panthers fell to the highly-acclaimed Lady Falcons, 1-0.

Massie scored the game’s only run in the top of the first.

“Olivia Wolffe pitched another great game for us,” Miami Trace head coach Joe Henry said. “Florea brought her ‘A’ game once again. I believe that these two pitchers are the top pitchers in the league.

“Massie is No. 5 in the state for a reason,” Henry said. “They play mistake-free ball and (have) a great coaching staff.

“The Miami Trace coaching staff is proud of our kids and the fans that support us,” Henry said. “

“Miami Trace played a great game tonight,” C-M coach Anthony Lauer told the Wilmington News Journal. “Fortunately we were able to put a run across in the first inning. We had numerous weather delays and every effort was made to get this game finished. Unfortunately the weather would not cooperate.”
