MT girls bowling wins Sectional

CHILLICOTHE — Both Miami Trace and Washington boys and girls bowling teams advanced from the Sectional tournament to the District tournament at Shawnee Lanes in Chillicothe.

The Sectional was held Friday, Feb. 17.

The Miami Trace girls won the Sectional tournament with a total score of 3,387.

Washington’s girls were third with a team score of 3,130.

On the boys side, Miami Trace was third with a score of 3,940.

Washington was fourth with a 3,788 total.

Miami Trace senior Macy Detty was the Sectional champion with a three-game series total of 631. She rolled games of 223, 202 and 201.

Washington sophomore Sammie Arbogast was sixth at the Sectional with a 516 series. She had games of 154, 178 and 184.

The top local boys bowler was Washington junior Brandon Underwood with a 666 series. He had games of 204, 227 and 235.

Miami Trace senior Devan Harmon was the top Panther bowler at the Sectional with a 637 total. His game scores were: 216, 192 and 229.
