Thomas wins all-around

The Miami Trace varsity gymnastics team recently participated in the Southwest District Individual meet held at Miamisburg High School.

With 11 schools represented and over 50 total gymnasts competing, Miami Trace freshman Devan Thomas stood out at the completion of the contest with teammate Abby Arledge standing next to her in second place.

Thomas earned first place honors on uneven bars, (8.0) and balance beam, (achieving an 8.9 on the event). Thomas placed third for her floor exercise routine, (8.5).

Abby Arledge was awarded first place on floor exercise (8.55) and third on vault (8.05) and uneven bars (7.8).

Victoria Waits brought in a ninth place finish on balance beam (7.7).

Miami Trace recorded its highest team score of the season with a 123.9.
