The annual Mother-Daughter-Friend Celebration of the New Holland United Methodist Women was held at the church Wednesday.

Ann Thompson welcomed all and Rev. Brian Dunham gave the opening prayer. Kay Oughterson presented the program entitled “Hat’s Enough.”

A style show was featured of nine types of hats, which showcased the nine qualities of the “Fruit of The Spirit.” The theme of the night was to let our Christian attitude be reflected by the hats we wear. The program closed with prayer.

The fellowship of the evening was enjoyed with the serving of refreshments and visiting in the church basement. The tables were decorated with vases of beautiful, fresh flowers and they were given as prizes.

Committees for the evening were: Invitations: Carmen White, Favor and Table Decorations; Teri Kirkpatrick and Pat Overly. The hostesses were Ann Thompson, Peggy Kirkpatrick, Nikki Sheets, Shelli Seymour and Pat Taylor.

The next meeting will be at the church on June 11 at 2:30 p.m. The devotions will be given by Janet Kirkpatrick, and the program by Rev. Brian Dunham. Hostesses are needed for this meeting.

Contact Ann Thompson if you would like to be a hostess.
