NHUMW hold regular monthly meeting

Members of the New Holland United Methodist Women assembled at the church Tuesday, Nov. 8 for their regular monthly meeting.

Ann Thompson, president, welcomed all. Devotions, “If Jesus came to your house today,” were given by Janet Kirkpatrick, and Samantha Dunham gave prayer. The secretary’s report was given by Betsy McFadden. Pat Taylor gave the treasurer’s report.

It was announced that the delivery of Holiday Dinners for Seniors will be held Nov. 19. Help is needed to deliver the meals, so contact Cindy Thompson or Shellie Seymour if you can help. The annual Christmas Celebration will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 7 at the home of Ann Thompson. Social Hour is at 6:30 p.m., dinner is at 7 p.m. and installation of the 2017 officers will be held, and the devotions and program will be presented by Kay Oughterson. Hostesses will be Jodi Kirkpatrick, Ann Thompson, Kay Oughterson, Jane Ann Garrison, Ivy Pursell, Kathy Stinson, and Doris Rowland.

Taylor presented a program entitled “Meditations,” with all those present giving a part of the program. “What Do You Know About Latin America,” was the second program presented by Taylor. The World Thank Offering program was presented by Taylor. Samantha Dunham and Anna Mae Conrad served delicious refreshments. Special thanks were given to Taylor for the program and Dunham and Conrad for refreshments.
