The Washington Fire Department responded to the following calls, according to reports:

JUNE 28

At 8:25 a.m., the fire department was dispatched for mutual aid to Bloomingburg FD for assistance with a barn fire. WCH firefighters assisted with fire suppression and overhaul operations and also hauled water as part of a tanker shuttle. One fire fighter received a minor injury and was treated on scene.

At 4:35 p.m. in the 800 block of Blackstone Street, the FD was dispatched to smoke in the area. Fire fighters located unauthorized burning and extinguished the fire.

At 4:35 p.m. in the 1100 block of Gregg Street, an odor of smoke was reported in and outside of the home. Smoke was due to previous incident on Blackstone Street.

At 7:22 p.m. at U.S. 22 and Bogus Road, the FD was dispatched to a two vehicle accident. There was no entrapment. General clean up was performed.

At 8:24 p.m., an aerial ladder requesting mutual aid to Jamestown was dispatched. It was cancelled en route.
