New Holland UMW holds meeting

Ann Thompson, the president of the New Holland United Methodist Women, opened the meeting with reading “Living Life.”

Jill Shipley gave the evening’s devotions, “The Missing Pieces,” and gave an outstanding program following. Betsy McFadden gave the secretary’s report. The treasurer’s report was given by Pat Taylor.

Taylor gave an update on “World Mission Prayer Calendar.” If you have names that are needed to be added to the prayer list, please contact Taylor.

Carmen White reported on card sending and asked to be let know when cards are needed.

All who have helped with the New Holland Lion’s Club dinners were given a big thank you. The next dinner will be served in October.

Pickaway and Fayette counties are joining together to have “OSU Cooking Class” at the New Holland United Methodist Church on Tuesdays, Aug. 20 through Sept. 24 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. All are welcome to attend. If you are interested, contact Pat Taylor.

Refreshments were served by Charlie Lawson. It was announced “The Walk to Emmaus” will be held Oct. 24-Oct. 27 in Wilmington.

The Sept. 10 meeting will be held at 2:30 p.m. in the home of Jodi Kirkpatrick. The devotions and program will be presented by Kay Oughterson and refreshments provided by Jodi Kirkpatrick.

Pastor Brian Dunham closed the meeting with prayer.
