The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office responded to the following calls, according to reports:

JULY 22

THEFT: Wesley A. Yahn of Washington C.H. reported sometime overnight persons unknown entered his parked motor vehicle removing several items.

TRAFFIC CRASH: Norman Barrett of McKeesport, Pa. was parking in the Truck Lot of the Flying J when Norman struck a parked tractor-trailer owned by Melton Truck Lines. The vehicles suffered minor damages. No injuries were reported.

WANTED PERSON, POSSESSION OF DRUGS, TRAFFICKING IN DRUGS, ILLEGAL CONVEYANCE OF DRUGS: Debra A. Jones of Brooklyn, Ohio was arrested on an outstanding warrant. While in custody Jones was found to have heroin in her possession; which she also conveyed inside the Fayette County Jail.

TELECOMMUNICATIONS HARASSMENT: A juvenile reported receiving threatening messages via Facebook from another juvenile.

CIVIL DISPUTE: A Bloomingburg resident reported a child custody dispute with other family members. The reportee was referred to the courts.

JULY 21

BURGLARY/ THEFT: Royal Kearns of Washington C.H. reported sometime overnight persons unknown entered a residence removing an A/C unit.

TRAFFIC CRASH: Martha Begin of Washington C.H. was traveling westbound on U S Rte 22 -West near Jasper-Coil Road when Begin struck a deer in the roadway. The vehicle suffered moderate damage. No injuries.

TRAFFIC CRASH: Pamela Mills of Mt. Sterling was traveling east on S.R 207 and lost control of the motorcycle she was riding. Mills traveled off the right side of the roadway into the ditch overturning. Mills was transported by EMS for treatment of minor injuries. Mills was cited for failure to control.

PROTECTION ORDER VIOLATION: Garrett L. Norris of Greenfield was arrested after violating a protection order issued by the Court.

PROTECTION ORDER SERVICE: Sheriff’s deputy made contact and served a protection order issued by the State of Virginia.
