Thompson’s Depot robbed

Police are asking for assistance in identifying the man responsible for Thursday’s armed robbery of Thompson’s Depot in Washington C.H.

At 4:19 p.m. Thursday, a man who appeared to be wearing a red handkerchief over his face and a hat (see security photo) entered Thompson’s Depot, located at 212 E. Elm St. According to police, the offender brandished a handgun and demanded the clerk give him the money from the register.

The clerk handed an undisclosed amount of money to the man and he then immediately exited the business. Police said the suspect departed the store on foot and was last seen heading toward South North Street. No one was injured during the incident.

Police are asking anyone with information on this suspect to contact the Washington C.H. Police Department at 740-636-2370. Also, two photos from a security camera have been posted to the police department’s Facebook page.
