My Gypsy Soul Boutique, 1014 Leesburg Ave., was welcomed to the community and into the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce with a recent ribbon cutting.
It is owned by Kelly Pavey, who recently moved home to Washington Court House after living on Florida’s east coast, where she worked in a small boutique that she loved. Although Kelly has an accounting degree with over 20 years of experience and still does accounting work, she refers to herself as a non-conformist with a gypsy soul.
Pavey said the store is a way for her to express herself and described the store as a very unique boutique with a bohemian/gypsy flair that carries all new merchandise direct from designers to include clothing, jewelry, accessories, home décor, in addition to gift certificates.
“After living in Florida for a few years and gaining a brand new and very refreshing outlook on life, it is my pleasure to bring a little unique flair and some culture to my hometown,” Pavey said. “I like to think of us as an art gallery, which can mean art for you to wear, to gift, or to display in your home. It is my wish to also work with artisans in the surrounding areas to bring some unique pieces into the boutique. We are looking for handmade artwork, jewelry, home decor, etc. I plan to give back to my local community as much as possible and will be donating 10 percent of all consigned artwork net profits to local charities. I will be looking for local charities to work with as well. The customers that are coming in are very excited to see such a different boutique in this area. Let’s work together to give back and to make this world a happier place to live in.”
