The 2016 Fayette County Jr. Fair Showman of Showmen competitions were held in two parts on Saturday, divided by the large animals and the small animals. Pictured is Abby Riley attempting to properly show a dog.

Jaycee Perry was named the Overall Small Animal Division Showman on Saturday. He is pictured with second and third place winners, Dylan Page and Alexis Schwartz, and Fayette County First Attendant, Virginia Schappacher.

Cody Clyburn was named the Overall Large Animal Division Showman on Saturday. He is pictured with fifth through second place winners, Emily Daniels, Bethany Reiterman, Victoria Schappacher and Victoria Waits.

Honor Guard veteran Larry Bishop plays TAPS to end the flag retirement ceremony.

The annual Flag Retirement Ceremony was held at the Fayette County Fairgrounds grandstand Thursday evening. Thursday was Veterans Day at the fair. All veterans could enter the fairgrounds free of charge.
