For many years the FCMH Auxiliary has presented scholarships to two graduates who are entering school for medical training.

The hospital provides the scholarships through the hospital auxiliary. This year the scholarships were given to Michaela Liff, a Miami Trace graduate, and Taylor Leisure, Washington C.H. graduate.

Michaela Liff is the daughter of Brian Liff and stepmother Nancy Liff. She will be attending the University of Toledo and majoring in pediatric nursing. She has been involved in various theatrical events, mock trial, several clubs and Color Guard as well as being in the National Honor Society.

Taylor Leisure is the daughter of Scott and Yvonne Leisure. Yvonne will be attending Ohio State University and plans to pursue a career as surgeon. Yvonne has been involved in band through junior high and high school. She has also been active in track during high school. After school hours she has volunteered at the Humane Society and worked in fast food industry.

The scholarships were presented by the scholarship committee members, Barbara Vance, Jody Hanawalt and Joyce Lott.
