According to reports, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office responded to the following calls:

APRIL 10

ESCAPE/PROSTITUTION: A female prisoner, Brittani Stroup, was transported to the Fayette County Memorial Hospital for a reported injury sustained in the jail. While at the hospital Stroup fled on foot. She was later located at a residence in the city and returned to the jail. Stroup was additionally charged with prostitution after a subsequent interview of a male subject, the resident of the apartment.

TRAFFIC CRASH: Joshua Golden of Jeffersonville was traveling west on U.S. 35 and lost control of his vehicle. Golden lost control traveling off the right side of the roadway striking a guardrail. No injuries were reported.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS: Kelli Brown of Washington C.H. reported an unknown male subject wearing dark clothing was observed in the backyard of her residence. Sheriff’s deputies patrolled the area and was unable to locate any subjects in the area.

THEFT: Employees from Nike reported an unknown male removed property from the business without paying for it.

CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Richard Wilson, age 65 of Washington C.H., reported an unknown person(s) damaged property as his residence.

CRIMINAL DAMAGING/THEFT: Gina Shaw, age 52 of Washington C.H., reported someone damaged the window to her vehicle allowing them to gain access to the interior of the vehicle. Shaw reported that once inside the vehicle that the person removed personal property from the vehicle.

CRIMINAL DAMAGING/THEFT: Curtis Maynard, age 28 of Washington C.H., reported someone damaged the window to his vehicle allowing them to gain access to the interior of the vehicle. Maynard reported that once inside the vehicle that the person removed personal property belonging to himself and his wife’s employer.

APRIL 9

TRAFFIC CRASH: Trevur Keaton of Lancaster was traveling northbound on I-71 entering the overpass at Route 435. Keaton lost control due to ice on the bridge at which time Keaton vehicle overturned. No injuries were reported. The vehicle sustained moderate damage.

TRAFFIC CRASH: Jelani Mohamed of Columbus was traveling northbound on I-71 near Exit 65 and lost control on an overpass due to ice. Mohamed struck a vehicle that had previously overturned and was in the roadway. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles sustained minor damage.

THEFT: Employees of Eddie Bauer Outlets in Jeffersonville reported two unknown females entered the store and concealed items of clothing. The females then departed .

TRAFFIC CRASH: Erin Teague, age 22 of South Solon, was traveling south bound on State Route 41 when her vehicle struck a patch of ice, went off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree, causing the vehicle to overturn. Erin Teague and Ashley Teague, a passenger in the vehicle, were both transported to Jamestown ER for medical treatment.

TRAFFIC CRASH: Gina O’Flanagan, age 60 of Ontario, Canada, was north bound on I-71 when her vehicle struck a patch of ice causing the vehicle to lose control and make contact with a guard rail. No injuries were reported.

TRAFFIC CRASH: Tyler Powell, age 18 of Greenfield, was traveling north bound on State Route 41 that his vehicle struck a patch of ice causing the vehicle to strike the ditch and overturn multiple times. No injuries were reported.

BREAKING AND ENTERING: The front door glass was broken out at Pettit’s Grocery Store in Bloomingburg by someone, allowing them to gain entry. The investigation is pending.

TRAFFIC CRASH: Jamie Hannah, age 30 of Washington C.H., was traveling west bound on US 35 when her vehicle struck a sheet of ice causing her to lose control of her vehicle. Hannah’s vehicle struck a concrete barrier.

APRIL 8

CRIMINAL DAMAGING/THEFT: June Moore of Bloomingburg reported someone sometime overnight caused damage to the tires on her vehicle and removed items from inside.

TELEPHONE HARASSMENT: Melissa Fields of Washington C.H. reported a known subject has called and texted her several times after being asked not to. Deputies made contact with the subject and advised to cease all contact and the consequences of any further contact.

DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Frances Hammond, age 51 of Washington C.H., reported a known male threatened to throw her out of a second story window. Hammond was referred to the city solicitor regarding any further action.

TELEPHONE HARASSMENT: Crystal Fields, age 54 of Washington C.H., reported a known male and female were calling and texting her after she had asked them not to. Fields refused criminal charges and only requested a report be made.

APRIL 7

NEIGHBOR DISPUTE: Debra Harter, Washington C.H. reported she was involved in an ongoing dispute over property lines with a neighbor. Both parties were contacted and counseled.

DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Deputies responded to a third party report of a domestic incident. Upon making contact with the involved parties, they reported a verbal dispute only with no threats of harm or physical altercation.

THEFT/CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Jessica Mess of Jeffersonville reported after a dispute with a known male she departed the residence. Mess advised when she returned to her residence her cell phone was missing and damage was caused to her television.

THEFT/CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Richard Wilson of Washington C.H. reported someone forcibly entered his vehicle and removed items from inside.

APRIL 5

MENACING: Teshia Johnson of Jeffersonville reported she received texts from a known female. Johnson was referred to the solicitor.

BREAKING AND ENTERING/THEFT: David Workman of Bloomingburg reported someone forced entry into his vacant residence and removed items from inside.

APRIL 4

BURGLARY/THEFT: Margaret Hill of Bloomingburg reported while she was away from her residence someone had entered her residence and removed items from inside.
