Lions Club Christmas raffle to be held

In a normal year, the Washington Court House and Jeffersonville Lions clubs would be busy planning their “Beat Michigan Tailgate Party.” But, this is not a normal year, and the two clubs put their collective heads together to stage an all-new project.

The Lions clubs are staging a Christmas raffle with some sure-to-be popular prizes. Prizes are a Glock 42 .380 ACP with Crimson Trace Laser Guard, a 65” Vizio 4K Ultra HD TV and cash of $250 and $100 respectively. (It must be noted that the winner of the gun must pass a background check.)

The drawing will be held Saturday, Dec. 12. Proceeds from the raffle will benefit several Fayette County Food pantries and Lions Sight Saving projects.

Tickets are $10 each or three for $25 and can be purchased from any Jeffersonville or Washington Court House Lions member or by calling WCH Lion Jay Carey at 740-606-7151 or Jeffersonville Lion Jim Downing at 740-606-6431.

The Beat Michigan Tailgate Party has returned over $55,000 to the local food pantries over the last 10 years. The two Lions Clubs are striving to continue their support of the food pantries this year with this raffle.
