The Fayette County Chamber of Commerce Ambassador Team kicked off a new tradition recently by recognizing a Business of the Month.
The first recipient, in honor of the tax filing deadline, was Mossbarger & Smithson CPA, located at 1101 Columbus Ave. in Washington C.H. The firm, owned by Brenda Mossbarger and Jeff Smithson, has been doing tax filings, payroll and check writing services since 1985. They can be reached at 740-335-2820 or at [email protected]. Chamber Ambassadors presented the firm with a plaque, flowers and balloons.
“This was a fun activity for our Ambassador Team,” Chamber president Whitney Gentry said. “The Ambassadors are a group of folks who work at our various chamber members and who help us with different activities during the year, and help serve as a face of the chamber.”
The group meets monthly and, according to Gentry, felt the “Business of the Month” would be an easy, fun way to say “thank you” to the members, visit their place of business and provide a little promotion for the business.
