A 28-year-old Washington C.H. man has been indicted by a Fayette County grand jury on three counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.

Jeremy J. Williams, of 418 Western Ave., pleaded “not guilty” to all three third-degree felonies during his arraignment in Fayette County Common Pleas Court this week. Williams filed an affidavit of indigence setting forth assets, earnings and expenses. The court found that Williams is entitled to the appointment of counsel and Kathryn Harper was appointed.

According to the grand jury indictment, Williams “engaged in sexual conduct” with a 14-year-old girl on March 21. On all three counts, the grand jury specified that Williams is “10 or more years older than the minor child.”

The morning of March 20, a local 14-year-old girl was reported missing from her home, according to the Washington C.H. Police Department. On March 21, it was discovered that the girl had gone to 418 Western Ave. in Washington C.H. to see Williams, reports said.

Further investigation revealed that Williams had allegedly engaged in sexual conduct with the girl. Police located Williams and he reportedly provided a written statement and video statement admitting to the sex acts.

A complaint was prepared and Williams was taken to the Fayette County Jail, where he is being held on a $20,000 bond.
