Washington Fire Department reports

The Washington Fire Department recently responded to the following:

SEPT. 10

VEHICLE ACCIDENT: 5:49 p.m., 342 W. Court St. – Received station tone from the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office reporting a two-vehicle accident. FD found two vehicles upright and on all four wheels with no visible smoke or fire at the time of arrival. Both vehicles were facing east across both westbound lanes. FD confirmed there was no entrapment, provided a safe work area and assisted with traffic control

VEHICLE ACCIDENT: 12:35 p.m., 1107 Leesburg Ave. – Received station tone from the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office deporting a two-vehicle accident. FD found both vehicles upright and on all four wheels facing southwest and across both lanes of traffic with no visible smoke or fire at the time of arrival. FD determined there was no entrapment among the four patients and provided BLS until transferring patient care to members of the Fayette County Life Squad. FD established a safe work area, checked both vehicles for safety, contained leaking fluids on the roadway and assisted with traffic control.

MUTUAL AIDE: 9:50 a.m., Country Club Court – First response for the Fayette County Life Squad.

CARBON-MONOXIDE CHECK: 9:42 a.m., 315 Worley St. – Received call from occupant reporting a problem with the flu-pipe and requested a carbon-monoxide check. FD did not detect any carbon-monoxide during the investigation.
