Twenty-three people attended the March meeting of the Fayette/Madison County Ohio Public Employee Retiree Systems bimonthly meeting in the meeting room of the Fayette County Commission on Aging, March 23.

President Sylvia Hildreth called the meeting to order and all stood for the Pledge of Allegiance.

The speaker for the meeting was James Kiger, local attorney and author. He spoke to the group on “Ways to Save Your Money” while doing estate planning. Each recommendation included an example from his history dealing with anonymous clients. His wife Ann offered a suggestion now and then. The entire group learned from and enjoyed the presentation.

Sylvia called the business part of the meeting to order. Jeanne Immell gave the secretary’s report. Connie Watson gave the treasurer’s report. We have 18 members so far in 2016. Both reports were approved.

The annual district meeting will be held in early June at the Delaware County Senior Center. Everyone agreed to give our chapter’s share of the expenses of the meeting. Everyone is encouraged to attend. There will be information on everything happening now.

The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, May 25, 2016.
