Library book sale at Farmers Market Saturday

This Saturday, Aug. 1, customers at the Fayette County Farmers Market can peruse more than produce! Because of social distancing requirements, and limited library hours and building capacity due to the COVID-19 virus, the Annual Book Sale hosted by Carnegie Public Library and AAUW will not take place at the library this year.

Instead, book lovers, parents, and teachers can find books for purchase at the Fayette County Farmers Market. Every other weekend, AAUW volunteers present a selection of print materials for purchase. Items for sale are made up of donations and books withdrawn from the library’s collection.

All items are 50 cents apiece. Included each week are a new selection of adult fiction and nonfiction, large print titles, cookbooks, children’s picture books, chapter books, and novels.

As always, proceeds from the sale go towards the library’s general fund and also contribute to AAUW scholarships provided to Fayette County students.
