According to reports, the Washington C.H. Police Department responded to the following calls:

June 6

Bench Warrant/Obstructing Official Business: At 4:50 p.m., officers observed Dustin Schwalbauch walking on South Elm Street near Whit’s Frozen Custard stand. Schwalbauch had outstanding warrants for his arrest. As officers attempted to make contact with Schwalbauch, he fled on foot. After a short foot pursuit, Schwalbauch was arrested and charged accordingly.

June 5

Theft: At 7:40 a.m., Lucille Marcum reported a theft complaint. She advised that sometime in the evening, unknown persons stole items from her unlocked vehicle while parked at the Village Court Apartments. A theft report was completed.

Theft: At 4:40 p.m., officers responded to Walmart in reference to a shoplifting complaint. Contact was made with the complainant, who advised that a female was observed on camera shoplifting. The female was identified as Loretta Robinson and charges were filed.

Burglary: At 8:50 p.m., officers responded to a residence in reference to a welfare check on a child. Contact was made with David Kerns, who is the father of the child and the child was checked okay. Kerns advised officers that he broke into an adjoining apartment for an unknown reason. Contact was made with the property owner, who advised that Kerns did not have permission to be in the residence. Kerns was arrested and charged.
