‘Sports Review’ in Thursday’s R-H edition

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and schools not re-opening until a still unspecified time, the Record-Herald is announcing the 2020 Sports Review.

With no spring sports to preview, the Record-Herald takes a look back at some of the highlights from the 2019 fall sports season and the 2019-20 winter sports season.

The full-color magazine will be included with your Thursday, April 16 edition of the Record-Herald.

We have highlighted several of the rivalry sporting events that were contested between Miami Trace High School and Washington High School.

We have included stories on the three high school basketball players who each achieved the 1,000-point mark for their careers.

There are also stories on the two student-athletes from Miami Trace who qualified for, but did not get to participate in, the State wrestling tournament.

In addition, there is a feature story on the Washington girls track team, citing a few examples of outstanding student-athletes who did not get to finish their careers in the spring sports season.

While we wait for the scientists to come up with a vaccine and for our lives to slowly but steadily get back to normal, we hope our readers will enjoy the magazine. We wish for everyone to stay safe during this time of coronavirus pandemic.
