Local Democrats hold Presidents Day Dinner

Former Ohio Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner was the keynote speaker at the Fayette County Democrats’ annual Presidents Day Dinner on Sunday. Over 90 people were in attendance at Our Place Restaurant in Washington C.H. Brunner is currently the judge for Ohio’s 10th District Court of Appeals.

Judge John P. O’Donnell, who is running for a seat on the Ohio Supreme Court, was also a speaker at Sunday’s Presidents Day Dinner. Judge O’Donnell was elected to the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas in 2002, and was re-elected in 2006 and 2012.

Judge Cynthia Rice, who is also running for as seat on the Ohio Supreme Court, was another honored speaker at Sunday’s Presidents Day Dinner. She was elected to the 11th District Court of Appeals, serving as appellate judge from 2003 to the present. She has also served as a visiting judge on the Supreme Court of Ohio.

Ray Pryor, former state representative, was in attendance at the dinner to visit with friends and conduct an auction of patriotic and presidential memorabilia.
