According to reports, the Washington C.H. Police Department responded to the following calls:

Oct. 25

Theft: At 10:02 a.m., Sheila Tubaugh reported that an unknown person(s) entered her residence at 711 Campbell St. and removed property without her permission.

Theft: At 12:56 p.m., John Marano from Wilmington reported that transactions were made on his debit card at Walmart. The transactions were done without his permission. An investigation is ongoing.

Theft: At 2:25 p.m., an employee of Pettit’s, located at 303 E. Court St., reported that a subject stole merchandise from the business. An officer responded and was able to identify the subject through video surveillance as a 14-year-old juvenile. The juvenile was charged with theft.

Warrant/Drug Charges: At 5:09 p.m. while on patrol, an officer observed Michelle Moore in the area of Pearl Street at Rose Avenue. Moore had an active warrant for her arrest. During her arrest, she was found to be in possession of a needle used to inject illegal drugs. Moore was additionally charged with possession of drug abuse instruments.

Warrant/Drug Charges: At 6:11 p.m., officers were arresting Zachary Burgess in the 900 block of Temple Street on an active warrant. During his arrest, he resisted officers’ attempts to take him into custody. After Burgess was secured in handcuffs, a search incident to arrest was completed. Burgess was found to be in possession of a pipe used to ingest illegal drugs, and was additionally charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
