According to reports, the Washington C.H. Police Department responded to the following calls:

June 9

Theft: At 2 a.m., officers responded to the 300 block of Third Street in reference to a theft complaint. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the complainant/victim, who advised that unknown person(s) stole medication. A theft report was taken on the complainant’s behalf.

Aggravated Trafficking/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia/Weapon Under Disability: At 11:51 a.m., officers responded to the Robinson Road trailer park in reference to a suspicious person(s) complaint. Upon arrival, officers made contact with occupants in a vehicle. Chad E. Ingles was arrested on an outstanding warrant. Steven T. Nott was subsequently taken into custody after further investigation and was charged with the listed offenses.

Theft: At 2:50 p.m., officers responded to the 1300 block of Leesburg Avenue in reference to a theft complaint. Upon arrival, officers made contact with Loss Prevention, which advised that the offender, Delisa J. Aills, had committed theft from Walmart. The offender was taken into custody and charged with the listed offense.

Possession of Drug Abuse Instrument: At 10:55 p.m., officers responded to the 1700 block of Columbus Avenue (United Dairy Farmers) in reference to a theft complaint. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the offender, Michael S. O’Brien II, who was taken into custody after further investigation and charged with the listed offense.

June 8

Burglary in Progress: At 2:33 p.m., officers responded to 910 Yeoman St. in reference to a burglary in progress at a garage. Officers arrived on scene and located the victim, Brian Holstein, in an argument with the offender, Dustin Leisure. Leisure was subsequently arrested for breaking & entering.

Theft of Motor Vehicle: At 7:18 p.m., Ashley Wightman reported that she parked her vehicle at 136 News Plaza around 3 p.m. At around 7 p.m., Wightman discovered that her vehicle had been stolen. The stolen vehicle is a 2005 Chevy Cobalt two-drive, silver in color.

June 7

Pursuit: At 2:37 a.m. while on patrol, an officer attempted to stop a motorcycle for traffic violations. The motorcycle fled at a high rate of speed and led the officer on a 10-minute chase. The driver, later identified as Ermon Whitamore, discarded the motorcycle and fled on foot from officers. Whitamore was apprehended after a taser was deployed. Whitamore was charged with various traffic violations, obstructing official business, resisting arrest, and failing to comply (fleeing & eluding).

Theft: At 10:58 a.m., Melissa Wilson reported that while she was incarcerated from March thru June, her direct express card was used without her permission. A report was taken and an investigation is ongoing.

Disturbance/Possession of Drugs: At 11:17 a.m., officers responded to 1104 Columbus Ave. (Mobil) in reference to a female causing a disturbance. While officers were en-route, the female departed in a vehicle. The vehicle was located by officers and a traffic stop was conducted. During the stop, Amanda Snyder was found to be in possession of a controlled substance. She was arrested and charged with possession of drugs.

Theft: At 12:03 p.m., a woman reported that she was at Fayette County Memorial Hospital, 1430 Columbus Ave. While at the hospital she left her purse unattended for a brief time and a firearm was stolen from her purse. A report was taken.

Suspicious Person: At 11:34 p.m., officers responded to the area of Save-A-Lot, located at 1151 Columbus Ave., in reference to a male possibly intoxicated. Officers located Zachary Burgess in the area of Donatos. Burgess had an active warrant for his arrest. During his arrest, he was found to be in possession of a hypodermic needle. Burgess was additionally charged with possession of a drug abuse instrument.

June 6

Theft: At 4:12 p.m., a woman at Court House Manor, 555 N. Glenn Ave., reported that sometime over the last week, money was stolen from her room. A report was taken.

Theft: At 4:53 p.m., Benjamin Lockhart II reported that an unknown person(s) entered onto his property at 615 Columbus Ave. and stole a push mower. A report was taken.
