If anyone is still thinking about entering this year’s Christmas Parade, themed “Christmas Around the World,” there is still time do so, according to Fayette County Chamber of Commerce President Whitney Gentry.

The parade is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 29 at 3 p.m. in Washington C.H. and there is no fee to enter. This year’s grand marshal is local resident Johnny Peters and the route is the same as in previous years, with staging taking place behind Fayette County Memorial Hospital. The parade will leave FCMH onto Columbus Avenue and make its way through downtown on Court Street, turning onto South Hinde and ending at the Center for Economic Opportunity.

“We welcome and encourage anyone who wants to attend to contact the chamber office at 740-335-0761, or stop by our office at 101 E. East Street to pick up an application,” said Gentry.

Deadline to enter is Monday, Nov. 23.
