According to reports, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office responded to the following calls:

NOV. 4

BURGLARY: Jose Medina of Bloomingburg reported two unknown persons attempted to force entry into his residence.

TRAFFIC CRASH: Mary Hall of Washington C.H., was traveling southbound in the 800 block of Bogus Road when Hall struck a deer in the roadway. The vehicle sustained minor damage. No injuries were reported.

NOV. 3

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Employees at Quality Inn in Jeffersonville reported a guest was intoxicated and being disruptive. Marlin Strickland of Cleveland, Texas was arrested in the incident.

CRIMINAL DAMAGING: A stop sign on Fichthorn Road at the intersection of Milledgeville-Octa Road was discovered damaged by deputies.

MENACING: A resident of Washington C.H. reported a known female made threats to her. Both parties were referred to the solicitor.

THEFT: Manager of Charley’s Grilled Subs reported that a known person possessed a key to the business and refused to return the key.

TRAFFIC CRASH: Donna Hawkins of Jeffersonville was traveling northbound in the 5000 block on Route 41 when Hawkins struck a deer in the roadway. The vehicle sustained minor damage. No injuries were reported in the incident.

NOV. 2

THEFT: Donald May of Leesburg reported someone removed tools from his shop.

DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Deputies were dispatched to a domestic incident on Peddicord Avenue. Upon the completion of the investigation it was determined that no assault of threat of violence occurred.

TELEPHONE HARASSMENT: A telephone harassment report was made. The male victim of Washington C.H. reported that a known female was calling his residence.

NOV. 1

TRAFFIC CRASH: Phillip Harner of Wilmington was traveling south on IR 71 when he lost a round hay bale in the roadway. Lawrence Phillips of Cincinnati who was also traveling south struck the hay bale. No injuries were reported. Phillip Harner was cited for unsecured load.

TRAFFIC CRASH: Angelica Brock of Washington C.H., was traveling South on US 62 when a deer entered the roadway into the path of Brock’s vehicle. No injuries were reported, the vehicle sustained moderate damage in the crash.

TRAFFIC CRASH/HIT SKIP: Person(s) was traveling north on Ghormley Road and failed to negotiate a left curve. Person(s) unknown traveled off the right side of the roadway striking a utility pole and departed the scene.

TRAFFIC CRASH: Sarah Weyant of Greenville, was traveling west on US 35 when a deer entered the roadway into the path of Weyant’s vehicle. No injuries were reported. The vehicle sustained heavy damage in the crash and was towed from the scene.

TRAFFIC CRASH: Sammy Tabbah of Dublin was traveling south on IR 71 when a deer entered the roadway into the path of Tabbah’s vehicle. No injuries were reported. The vehicle sustained moderate damage in the crash.
